The Crown Borneo – new hotel in Tanjung Aru

KOTA KINABALU: More rooms are now available for visitors to the city to stay for the night with the opening of a new hotel in Tanjung Aru town.

The grand opening of The Crown Borneo hotel was graced by its directors David CK Thien and Jacinto Jac Cua, and Pastor Philip Lyn of the SIB Church during a ceremony at the hotel’s lobby yesterday.

The three-storey hotel is centrally located within the Tanjung Aru town just minutes away from the city centre. It has 28 rooms with 16 queen-size and 12 twin beds and each comes with an attached bathroom with shower.

The room rate is RM120 during the promotional period, which is inclusive of the 5% government tax and 10 per cent service charge, the hotel’s general manager Roseline Tai said.

“The rate is expected to increase to RM140 after the promotional period ends on Dec 31,” she said.

Tai said all rooms are air-conditioned with individual control and equipped with a 32” LCD TV offering selected satellite channels and also complimentary tea and coffee making facility.
