Weekly Non-Stop Flight from Perth to Kota Kinabalu


Malaysia Airlines (MAS) is pleased to announce the reintroduction of direct services between Perth and Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia commencing 10 December 2012 which complements the current 10 non-stop weekly flights between Perth and Kuala Lumpur.

This new non-stop service will operate once a week with the flight from Perth departing every Monday at 12.40am and arriving in Kota Kinabalu at 6.25am, while the flight from Kota Kinabalu departs at 6.00pm every Sunday and arrives in Perth at 11.25pm the same day.

The non-stop service will be operated using a two-class configured B737-800 with 160 plush leather seats; 16 seats in Business class and 144 seats in Economy class. All seats are equipped with a personalised on demand inflight entertainment system and PED AC power supply for lap-tops and electronic equipment.

Kota Kinabalu is the state capital of Sabah, Malaysia perfectly positioned on a bay protected by islands, and backed by forested ranges with Mount Kinabalu in the background.

Malaysia Airlines’ Regional Senior Vice President, Australia, New Zealand and South West Pacific, Mr Yap Kiang Thiam said, “With just over five hours flight time from Perth to Kota Kinabalu, the relaxed and friendly atmosphere will allow travelers to enjoy a holiday destination with luxurious 5 star resorts, to comfortable 3-4 star hotels, eco-lodges and island resorts.
