Pulau Manukan: The Summer Hot Spot of Sabah

Pulau Manukan (also known as Manukan Island) is the second largest island in Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park and is also the first marine park located in Sabah.

It is rich with fish and corals and is certainly a must-go if you ever travel to Sabah.

Manukan Island is one of the most popular islands among residents in Sabah as well as tourists.

Just beyond the shore of Manukan are beautiful coral reefs which is ideal for snorkeling and diving.

Getting to Manukan Island is real easy. If you are in the city, take a bus or a cab to the Jesselton Point ferry terminal.

There will be different agents selling boat and entrance tickets to different islands.

The speedboat ride to Manukan Island is only 30 minutes from Jesselton Point.

My friends and I jumped into the opportunity to visit Manukan Island during our trip to Sabah.

The weather was sunny and good. I brought along my Lomography La Sardina and Fisheye No. 2.

Once reached, we immediately changed and ran towards the sea.

It was a good day to be out running along the beach.

It was also the off-peak season so we literally had the beach all to ourselves.
