Sabah state govt sets 2018 as 'Visit Keningau Year'


KENINGAU: The Sabah state government has set 2018 as ‘Visit Keningau Year’ with the theme, ‘The Hinterland Gem Of North Borneo’.

Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan disclosed this at the launch here on Tuesday of the 1Malaysia Voluntourism Programme under the National Blue Ocean Strategy by Tourism and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz.

He said the district has many natural attractions that could be economically developed as excellent tourism products such as the Crocker Range’s scenic highway, Laing Cave, Mandanan waterfall, and Bandukan and Minansut picnic spots.
